100 Most Powerful People in Nigeria in 2021

Like every part of the world where the power that controls the event of things lies among a few people. The same story applies to Nigeria. A country with over 201 million population. Amidst these millions of people are few minorities who have been able to gather enormous power either through influence or authority. Or even both.

Championing our latest update on the 100 Most Powerful Nigerians is the president of the country, President Muhammadu Buhari. Here is the man who stops millions of Nigerians from using Twitter plainly because Twitter deleted one of his tweets. Unbelievable? Well, just as Cersei Lannister said in the series, Game of Throne: “power is power”.

Power comes in different forms. Political power, social power, and economic influence. Most of the powerful Nigerians on our latest list of 100 most powerful people in Nigeria get their power from politics, activism, economic, and religious influence.

It is not surprising that Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, the Director-General for World Trade Organization steals the second spot of 100 Most Powerful People in Nigeria. Especially when you consider her national and international influence. One can now boldly say she is currently the most powerful Woman in Nigeria.

Other big names to watch out for in the latest Insight.ng’s 100 Most Powerful People in Nigeria are Rev’d Dr. Samuel Ayokunle (CAN President), Tony Elumelu (Chairman UBA), Nnamdi Kanu Leader, (ProBiafra Leader), and Alh. Aliko Dangote (the richest man in Africa).
