Everyone, at one point or the other, comes to a certain state of tiredness and extreme busyness. However, you can stay energized on hectic days and amidst busy schedules by considering some factors which can contribute to good results.

How to Stay Energetic All day, All Week
-
Visualize what you intend to achieve
One of the most common determinants of fatigue or tiredness is the mind and the body. The body feeds off the information it gets from the mind. When the mind ‘feels’ overworked, it passes that message to the body which starts to act accordingly.
To stay energetic all day, you have to first visualize the accomplishments that you intend to achieve. Achievements don’t come easy. They are a product of hard work, smart work and deliberate actions. This is why you cannot exempt busy days from your schedule.
When you keep visualizing what you intend to achieve, knowing that the busy days are for a short while, you can fuel yourself with this visual mental picture in your mind’s eye. You can visualize by writing down the achievements as you work towards them.
In addition to this, you also have to be intentional about the things that go on in your mind. Stop worrying about things that do not matter. Worrying has never solved any problem. Worrying can prevent you from being able to stay energetic all day.
If there is a challenge, try figuring out the possible solutions to it, rather than overworking yourself through worrying. When you spend so much time worrying about many things, you end up losing energy. You also fail to get sleep and may spend the entire day with little or no stamina. Why waste energy worrying when you can divert the same energy to visualize achievement and success?

Exercising
Having stated that the mind is where the body feeds off information, it is also important to reiterate that the body also needs care to stay energized on busy schedules.
You can achieve this through exercise. Exercising helps you burn fat, elevates your mood, improves stress resistance and keeps hormones at optimal levels. The busier you get, the more energy you will need. Exercising gives your cells more energy to burn and helps properly circulate oxygen.
Hence, you will need to channel this energy to handling one important task at a time and doing things that enhance your overall physical and mental wellbeing. You can also schedule exercising into your day such as taking a 30-minute walk in the evening to build consistency.

Healthy eating
Another great practice that helps you to stay energetic all day is eating healthy meals in the right portions and at the right time. The saying, ‘you are what you eat,’ has never been truer. Food is a major source of energy so it is unavoidable if you must stay energetic all day and on busy days.
Healthy eating includes avoiding junk, carbonated and fizzy drinks. You can replace these with natural fruit drinks. Tiredness can result from dehydration. Drinking lots of water too can provide instant energy. Our body is made up of 60% water and every system needs water to function. Water helps perspiration to remove waste through your sweat glands and also through urination. Drinking water is a major part of daily detoxification.
Eating healthy also means adding more fruits and vegetables to your diet. You can infuse some fruits like watermelon, pineapple, lemon, lime, and cucumber into your water to give it some flavour.

Practice intermittent fasting
Intermittent fasting increases energy and lowers your leptin levels. Giving your body significant breaks from food can improve metabolism. During fasting, your cells initiate a process of waste removal and cellular repair which helps the body to get rid of damaged molecules.
This process increases detoxification and can help you stay energized on hectic days. Restricting calories through fasting brings about a process known as autophagy. It cleans the body system and gets rid of unwanted substances. It also enhances brain cells, mood, and brain function and improves cognitive function.
-
Limit alcohol intake
Alcohol can make you feel dizzy and sluggish. It raises your blood sugar level and causes insulin release into the bloodstream. Then, the blood sugar level drops rapidly, making you unable to stay energetic all day and making you feel drained and weak.
Alcohol can also intrude on the quality of sleep you get. Taking alcohol regularly can have a sedative effect on you and also limit the amount of energy you need to stay energetic all day. For this reason, it is best to take alcohol in moderation if you must take it at all.

Limit caffeine and smoking
Although caffeine can provide energy, it can also be very dehydrating. Findings from research by the University of Connecticut have shown that even mild dehydration can adversely affect your energy levels negatively. A good way to stay energetic all day without caffeine is to drink low-calorie fluids. You can replace caffeine with herbal tea instead.
Smoking decreases the amount of oxygen in the blood, lungs and brain. Researchers say that a person only exhales 10% of what they inhale which means that approximately 90% of smoke is trapped in the lungs. This leads to feeling lazy, unproductive, lethargic and drained of motivation. Smokers are less active because smoking dehydrates you, producing less energy than required.
To stay energized on busy days, check your smoking and intake of caffeine.
