  • Builder and Specifications: NigeriaSat-1 was built by Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL) in the United Kingdom. SSTL specializes in the design, manufacture, and operation of small satellites. The satellite had a mass of about 96 kilograms and featured a compact design optimized for Earth observation missions.
  • Imaging Capabilities: NigeriaSat-1 was equipped with sophisticated imaging instruments, including a high-resolution panchromatic camera capable of capturing detailed images of the Earth’s surface. The satellite’s imaging capabilities allowed it to capture images with a resolution of around 32 meters, providing valuable data for various applications including security, remote sensing, urban and regional monitoring etc.
